Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council (USAMEC for short) is a society registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. The visionary Savant His Holiness Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji of Shree Adamaru Matha established Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council in the year 1962 with the view of serving the nation by providing the right kind of education to the nation's youth.

Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council was started with the specific aim of imparting right kind of education to the future generation and infusing a spirit of patriotism in children of the nation.

His Holiness Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji was the President of the USAMEC since its inception. The USAMEC continues to own, run, support and maintain educational institutions for imparting value-based education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. These Institutions are located in Adamaru, Udupi, Padubidiri, Bengaluru, Belur, Aldur, Sangameshwarapet and Bhadravathi in the State of Karnataka and in Mumbai and in New Delhi. The disciplines, apart from generalschooling, include Science, Philosophy, Commerce, Management, Technology etc.

Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council has an enlightened Governing Body always headed by Revered Swamiji, the Peethadhipathi of Shree Adamaru Matha, Udupi. The members of the Governing Body are eminent educationists, scientists, industrialists and administrators who have great concern for quality education of the youth of the country. The management is bent on enabling the Poornaprajna Educational Institutions to achieve excellence in teaching and learning activities.

All the Poornaprajna Institutions governed by USAMEC have secured excellent results in public examinations. They also continue to do very well in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. With a view to encourage sports activities, Inter-Poornaprajna Games Meet for High Schools and Primary Schools in different Poornaprajna Education Centers every year are being hosted on rotation basis.

Special Workshops and Seminars are being conducted, involving teaching staff, to improve their methodology in teaching. Specifically for the purpose of training the teachers in right direction. Poornaprajna Institute of Faculty Improvement has been established by Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council at Bangalore.

The precious gift of Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council to Indian science education is, through Admar Mutt Education Foundation (AMEF), Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research(PPISR) at Bangalore. The institute has proved its fruitful existence and the areas of research initiated at the Institute are recognized internationally.
